Im on day 4 of pre-op liquid diet. today i took my doxycycline and ive had diarhea and cramps all day. is that to be expected??

Diarrhea: You could be having antibiotic related diarrhea, viral or bacterial intestinal infection,or reaction to a substance in your liquid diet. I feel that you should report these symptoms to the attending physician and the operating surgeon who may want to send you for stool culture and possibly defer surgery.
