A member asked:

23 yrsmri pelvis showed lots of follicles in ovaries. excessive hair growth. elevated serum prolactin. slightly high dhea. very painful period. pcod?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Pcos does not cause prolactin to be elevated. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of your lab results who can also factor in your medical history and physical exam. The rest of your presentation does seem like pcos.
