You probably: have blocked Eustachian tube which affects the middle ear. Cleaning out wax will probably not help, because it collects in the outer ear. Try decongestants such as pseudoephedrine and otc nasal spray such as Afrin or neosynephrine. If these don't help, it is time to consult your doctor.

No: The fullness you are feeling is likely pressure behind your ear drum. It is the Eustachian tube that often fills with fluid and is swollen. If you try Valsava maneuvers to try to open up the Eustachian tube it may help. Blowing into a blocked straw or puffing out your checks, holding your breath and swallowing might help.
