A member asked:

Why does my stomach always growl when i'm nervous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

GI stress response: Our GI tract has a lot of nerve endings, and is often impacted by stress responses. Often there is gastric distress or an urge to use the restroom when under stress. This is normal, although at times distressing response. Try deep breathing when you feel stressed and learn relaxation techniques that you practice before you are stressed so you can handle stress more effectively.
