I have been having bad nasal congestion, cough, runny nose, and headache. thank it might be allergies. i have been taking claritin and dayquill and its not helping. is there something that will help?

Try pseudoephedrine: otc and nasal spray such as Afrin or Neosynephrine. If these don't help, it is time to consult with your doctor.

Chronic Rhinitis: Chronic rhinitis presents with variety of symptoms including nasal congestion, ear fullness, itching, and post-nasal drip that can be seasonal or year round. Triggers can be allergic (animal dander, pollen, dust mites) or non-allergic (strong scents/odors, cleaning products). See an Allergist for testing to confirm triggers. Add nasal steroid spray like fluticasone 2 sprays each nostril daily.
