What are the odds of liver damage /failure with depakote? psych just prescribed it and i don't want to take it, am i within my rights to refuse after a bipolar diagnosis? i'm already on seroquel?

Liver toxicity from Depakote is relatively rare in adults. In the USA, you still have the right to refuse medications if you wish, assuming your condition would not be dangerous to yourself or others. But New Zealand appears to have different laws and statutes which may modify your rights.

Hello I am bipolar 2 and take depakote which is not helping enough. I tried with my psychiatrist also quetiapine, amisulpride and truxal (all at lowest possible doses) but all seemed to induce hypomania. What do you think should help in such case? :?
Atypicals-zyprexa-latuda-seroquel etc. Or anticonvultants-depakote-tegretol-lamictal etc..Which are harder on your liver?
Can body chemistry change? Afrin now I can't take more than once or it backfires. I'm bipolar, will someday My body refuse risperdal or seroquel (quetiapine)?
