Your desire for being tested seems out of "fear" and the time of exposure is unclear.. But the incubation period of syphilis is about 10-90 days so inexpensive indirect serologic test may be used in 6-12 weeks after suspected time of exposure; you're still safe in its early stage. If you take antibiotics very early in a syphilis infection cuz the doctor thinks its something else, and incompletely treats it, and you test for it years later, can the trep tests be false negative? (Like what happens with lymes tests)?
