Here are some ...: Most inguinal post-herniorrhaphy neuralgia results from unexpected nerve entrapment or post-surgical neuroma of ilioinguinal or iliohypogastric nerves, and may spontaneously resolved to the level of no or bearable ache over time. If not improved enough in 6-12 months, diagnostic nerve block with / without regional exploration with neurectomy of involved nerves. For detail, ask enthusiastic surgeon
