Speak w your surgeon: Most of the hernia surgeries are well tolerated without problems after regular healing. Since we don’t know your own situation including prior surgeries and underlying health conditions I cannot be more specific. You may want to get a 2nd opinion and hear the same information from a,difference doc more familiar with your history. Good luck
