Lose wt, exercise: Two things you ought to do to reduce your risk of diabetes, are to (a) lose 5-10% of your body weight, more if you are overweight (b) exercise at least 30 minutes each day and gradually increase the rigor of exercise. It would help to reduce your carbohydrate and fat intake.

Change of treatment: People frequently self-treat sadness with sugar, but exercise is more effective, and far healthier, unless there are medical reasons to avoid it. There is an adjustment period, but sticking with it is worthwhile, and the benefits to the mind and the body are tremendous. Discussing sadness with friends, family, and primary care provider are worthwhile; no need to go through it alone.
