Oral Surgeon: See the Oral Surgeon and it will be done the easiest and best possible way.Typically this situation will require a surgical extraction as the crown and post will usually come out apart from the root. The root then needs to be carefully removed. Oral Surgeons do this regularly and are experts at it.Best to have the implant placed at the same time with provisional, after removal of all infected tissue

Not difficult: The lower anterior teeth are the shortest, smallest teeth in your mouth, with very little root surface. If it is loose from the infection, the extraction will be even easier.

No difference: Extracting a lower from tooth is not difficult. It makes no difference if the tooth has been previously treated with a post and crown or if the tooth had never been treated before.

Simple extraction: General dentists commonly do simple extractions. You can expect to feel pressure, but no pain. Take care.

Extraction: Oral surgeons are very good at removing teeth with posts and root canals. They are more brittle than healthy teeth because once the nerve is removed the moisture is greatly reduced. It's kind of like a wet noodle as opposed to a dry one. They tend to fracture more when getting extracted but the oral surgeon will have the proper tools to take it out without damaging the surrounding teeth. :)

Need treatment plan: Your dentist will be able to extract your tooth with no problem. Prior to the extraction, have a treatment plan, in terms of how you want to replace the tooth. If an implant will be placed, speak to the dentist if a bone graft is needed and the time lag for aesthetics. Review all options carefully.
