Toe vs leg: Gout affects joints mostly the great toe on the foot, causing pain swelling and redness.Deep vein thrombosis cause leg pain , sometimes swelling rarely redness and mostly in the calf. Dvt is cause by a clot in the deep veins so there may more prominent veins.
