DVT: Likely would be calf pain, calf swelling, possibly redness, it is in the calf and not the ankle.

Hi, i have a one question. My boyfriend(27years old) he has deep vein thrombosis of the leg, he has been taking medication for two weeks now. I'm wondering if he can have sex if he has it, or if it can hurt or something happens?
Have one cold foot, warms when stood up but cools when sitting, could this be a deep vein thrombosis? i knew DVT cause warm limbs, can it cause cold?
Should i worry about swelling of 1 ankle & it feeling achy? It's hot where i live. I've been treated for deep vein thrombosis in past with surgery.
