Epitrochlesr nodes: Or Cubital nodes are in the inner side of elbow. They drain the two middle fingers + part of little finger. Lymph nodes generally collects particles of infection etc too large to enter blood vessels : a protective mechanism. If painful it is acute condition. Cubital nodes are in transit to the axillary nodes. Common causes are injury to hands. See Physician for serious extra nodal causes.

Possible...: If by cubital you mean the anterior elbow area this could be related to an infection(cellulitis or abscess), cyst, bursitis. It would need to be examined in order to give you a final answer. Make an appointment with your doctor sooner rather than later.
