Mongolian spots?: Of course, a physician should visualize these markings to formally determine their cause or a diagnosis. If you and he recall no trauma, they are not raised or painful, and they do not seem overtly pathological, they may be benign markings which many kids have in this region called Mongolian Spots for lack of a better name. Google some pictures to compare. If still concerned, see his doc!
