When im moving around i have pretty strong pain in my left side/low back just above the waist it feels better to sit its pretty much the only symptom?

Musculoskeletal: This discomfort sounds musculoskeletal rather than due to kidney disorder such as stone or infection. Try resting,apply intermittent cold or heat,rubbing linlment,and,if you can take them,NSAIDS like ibuprofen should help. See your Physician if symptoms persist or if a rash appears(shingles).
