My 12 year old son is having lower abdominal pain on the right and left side as well as low-mid back pain. what could be the problem? he is in pain, no fever, he has had regular bowel movements.

These : These symptoms could be a sign of a urinary tract or kidney infection. Appendicitis is also a concern but less likely. Regardless, he needs to be evaluated by his pediatrician right away. A simple urine test will be the first step, followed by an additional diagnostic testing that the doctor feels is necessary. Good luck.
