Settled science: Absolutely. Fluoride significantly reduces decayed/missing/filled teeth in children. That translates as less apprehension, pain, needles, drilling, fillings, extractions, etc. And cost is minuscule, literally pennies a year. I'm only a decade younger than you. We grew up with mouths full of fillings. Look at your grandchildren. Thanks to fluoride virtually no fillings.

Yes it is: A small carfully controlled amount of Fluoride is added to most municipal water supplies in the usa to protect teeth against tooth decay. Despite lots of fearmongering by anti-fluoridation groups the scientific facts are that this small amount of Fluoride causes no health problems and only protects teeth. Don' buy into mindless fear.
