A member asked:

What does this mean? "there is a moderate amount of attached grossly unremarkable mesoappendix noted" this is in the surgical specimen report

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal finding: The mesoappendix is a piece of connective tissue attached to the appendix. "Grossly unremarkable" means 'seems to be normal based on unaided (naked eye) visual inspection. I assume this is from a surgical pathology report. They are saying that the specimen received by the lab had a normal-appearing piece of (mesoappendix) connective tissue attached to it.
