Are you sure?: A pathologist would have a difficult time determining if an appendicitis is partially treated. There may have been active inflammation at the part that was divided from colon. If you are doing fine and you are more than a week out from surgery, your appendicitis has most likely been treated. Active inflammation at the division line increases risk of post-operative infection.

Patient is OK : The mainstay of therapy remains appendectomy. The details of the path report suggest that the pathologists see features possible consistent with the effect of antibiotics . There is no cause for alarm.
