A member asked:

Can effexor 150 mg in the morning and 150 at night keep my serotonin levels up, i have serotonin syndrome. also on abilify 20mg , latuda (lurasidone) 40 mg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Effexor is dual acting & blocks the reuptake of both norepinephrine & serotonin--since its stimulating we usually prescribe it earlier in the day so it won't interfere with sleep. Abilify & Latuda (lurasidone) are both antipsychotics that can augment the Effexor. Usually give Abilify early & Latuda (lurasidone) should be given with food.
