TMD: I do not believe that the extraction of your premolar CAUSED your TMD. You most likely had this previously to some extent and the procedure precipitated an acute episode. Soft diet, anti-inflammatory medication, warm hot compresses to the outside of your face just in front of your ears and an evaluation by a dentist who is knowledgeable and experienced in treating patients with TMD is advised.
