Fever after appy: Fever after abdominal surgery can be from many sources. Mild fevers are common. However, persistent fevers (usually over 101) should be further investigated. Also, if the fever is associated with increased pain, nausea, vomitting, redness/drainage from your surgery site, pain when you urinate, or a productive cough/shortness of breath then you should see your doctor immediately.

Impossible: to tell without physical exam and tests. It is a little late for post operative infection, but not entirely. Notify your surgeon, especially if fever is high or associated with any gi symptom.
