Depends on the cause: Hi Thomas, It really depends of whats causing the recession. Could be your bite, brushing too hard, or could be that you are grinding your teeth. You should see a dentist to figure out the cause. You can have a gum graft procedure done if you are concerned with the appearance.

See your dentist: Your dentist can evaluate your teeth to determine what is causing your teeth to recede. It is better see your dentist soon to be able to help reverse or stop your gums from receding any further. Also, make sure you are using a soft or extra soft toothbrush.

Receding gums: How well do you brush and floss? How often and before or AFTER meals? How often to you get a check up and a cleaning. Many causes of gum recession. Discuss what's going on with you on a one to one basis with your own dentist. If still concerned, consult with a Periodontist.
