You helped your baby: Unfortunately, nothing can be reversed that happened the first 28 weeks of your pregnancy, but do be reassured that quitting now will certainly benefit your baby. Not being exposed to tobacco that final 12 weeks in utero will help her grow and reduce risk of other adverse effects including asthma and decreased lung function. Feel good about taking this vital step. Good wishes:)

Never too late: It is never too late to quit smoking! There are many women who never quit and they deliver stable babies. Of course research has definitively shown that smoking can increase the risk for several medical issues, but stopping at any time provides beneficial affects, as the baby continues to grow and mature inside you throughout the whole pregnancy. Great job quitting and congratulations!
