Should i put gauze over my wsdm tooth removal site before i eat for the first 2-3 days? i would remove it, brush, floss and swish w/salt water after.

That's a new one !: Never had a patient ask that one. I would doubt that the gauze would stay in place and likely become mixed with the food and be more disruptive than helpful. You should only be consuming soft mushy things without any "pieces" in them which could get in clot and destroy it, thereby disrupting healing and probably leading to a dry socket. Broth, mashed potatoes, applesauce, eggs, plain yogurt, etc.
