Sometimes your: colon and intestine secrete some mucous. If this is too much this is not a desired condition. But mucousy stools are usually associated more with diarrhea then constipation. Are you getting enough fiber in your diet? Does anybody else in your family have colon problems? Have you taken a lot of antibiotics? These are some of the questions a doctor would ask to evaluate this for you.
