Bug bites : some bites lead to infection and need antibiotic treatment. The bigger red ones with fever drainage and intense pain warrant a trip to the doctor. Next time after the bites make a baking soda compress with water and baking soda made into a paste and placed on yhe bites and covered for 6-8 hours with a bandaid. Works well for prevention and itch.

Have it seen...: Sounds like it is a good idea to have the bite looked at by his pediatrician. It may just be an inflammatory/allergic type response, but it is important to make sure that it isn't infected.
