Possible pink eye: Pink eye or conjunctivitis is inflammation of the surface of the eye, usually from a virus or bacteria, and there is usually mucous discharge. It is usually associated with URI and occasionally ear infection and is considered contagious, so avoid contact with others. Allergies can also cause the eye to get red and tear, but usually bilateral and no discharge. Contact your doctor for exam.
