A member asked:

Is it normal for my 2 year old have the right kidney bigger that the left?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: There are times when one kidney is larger. It may not be dangerous. More importantly, does the larger kidney have any cysts, stones or signs of infection. Was this a finding on a normal ultrasound or one done because of suspician of infection. Is the urinalysis normal and is the kidney function on blood test normal? also one can request a dmsa scan to check kidney function.
