Constipation: Most likely constipation. Get a ua & kidney blood test if concerned.

Two part question: Kidney function can be measured by checking the glomerular filtration rate and creatinine through a blood test. Pain in the lower left abdomen may be due to many causes including colon (ex:growth, diverticulitis) , prostate, renal stone, hernia, back pain, muscle strain. Best place to start is to see one's doc about the abdominal pain and let doc ask questions, examine, and order further tests.
