One: A normal creatinine level should be around 1. A trick of the trade regarding creatinine is to divide 100% by the value, and then that gives you an idea of how much kidney function you have. For instance, if you have a creatinine of 2, then divide 100% by 2: you are running on 50% kidney function. The fact that you have one kidney and have diabetes does not change the "normal" number.
