Treatments for absess teeth until see dentist or doctor?

Don't Wait!: An abscessed tooth can cause you to become very sick if you don't have it treated. It is imperative that you see a doctor to prescribe an antibiotic if you have an abscess in order to get the infection under control, possibly even before it can be treated.

There isn't any: An abscessed tooth is a badly infected tooth. Antibiotics may temporaril help reduce to amount of infection, but infection will return when you stop taking antibiotic. Otc pain meds, taken exactly as directed on the label, combined with cold packs, may take the edge off until you get help, but will not cure the infection. Get to your dentist asap to prevent spread of the infection.
