A member asked:

I had blood work done and tsh was 0.852 is that high or low and what is it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal TSH.: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone is made in the pituitary gland and it controls the thyroid. If your thyroid hormone level is low then the TSH signal from the pituitary increases. If the TSH is high then it usually means you need more thyroid hormone. That TSH number is in the normal range. There are conditions where that relationship between the blood tests doesn't work. Check with your doctor.
