I'm just wondering, if you have fibromyalgia are pain medications bad?

Not necessarily: Fm remains a complex disease for which conservative therapies such as cymbalta, Lyrica (pregabalin) or Gabapentin are often not significantly effective or at least not effective enough. For those individuals, pain medications can be added and often provide much needed relief.

Yes & No: Question if pain medications are "bad in fibromyalgia". 3 FDA-approved pain medications (Savella, Cymbalta, (duloxetine) and Lyrica) are useful, but opiate analgesics are discouraged with concern for dependency issues.
