What pain medication seems to be the most promising or helpful for fibromyalgia?

Depends: All patients respond to medications differently. There are only 3 fda approved meds for fibromylagia. Cymbalta, Lyrica and savella (milnacipran). This only means that they did the research to show they have a positive effect on the condition. There are other meds that can be used. Narcotics have not been shown to be effective in the management of fibromyalgia.
