A form of prediabete: The gold standard for diagnosing diabetes is to drink a very high sugar test drink and measure blood glucose at up to 2 hours after. Normal people will have a 2 hr blood glucose of 200 but for people who are 140-199, the term impaired glucose tolerance is used. This means an increased risk of type 2 diabetes and need for a healthier diet and weight loss
