Not neccessarily: Weight gain alone does not cause diabetes nor pre-diabetes. It can easily lead to such if the weight gain continues. The only way to know for sure is to have a blood test to check your fasting glucose or your hemoglobin a1c.

Don't know : A weight gain like this isn't caused by igt. Likewise, if the additional weight is concerning you because of potential risk for diabetes/prediabetes you should speak with your doctor. You may need a medical evaluation.
