A member asked:

Hi..i am 42 year old having a posterior wall fibroid of 8 mm. do i need to leave it or take some medicines for pain or should go for the surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends.: If your doctor is reasonably sure that the fibroid is causing this pain, then surgical intervention might be appropriate. The fibroid won't go away on its own and being on long-term pain medications has problems of it own. This is a decision that you & your doctor need to make together very carefully.
