Very controversial: Ethamsylate has been studied (and used) for abnormal bleeding such as heavy menses or to slow down active hemorrhage during pregnancy. There's no good evidence that it, or any other therapy for that matter, can prevent early miscarriage. Depending on what's causing this bleeding, this drug may do more harm than good. You, your wife and her doctor should proceed with great caution!
