For wife - 29 just got over covid and shes 8 mo pregnant. a family doctor told her after check up your high risk for blood clot. why saythat? healthy just has a cough. she went er did x-ray and blood work normal? shes scared can she get ct scan?

For the diagnosis of blood clot, she only needs a leg duplex study which is an ultrasound, no radiation involved. However, if she feel fine I do not think she requires prophylactic anticoagulant even she is at risk (pregnant status and Covid+).
