DISCUSS WITH MD: We do not know why your doctor prescribed Metroprolol and can not advice you to taper off or stop; But my advice is to contact your doctor and take his/her advice if you can taper or stop and may need some other drug to replace Metroprolol Apparently you are not tolerating the drug

A bad adverse event: Not surprised by your report. You are taking a relatively modest dose and probably can safely taper over 3-5 days, but do this with your doctor as at your age, this may result in certain risks which can be avoided.
