I have myeloma. 5 months of cyclo and dex. due to start lenalidomide in next few months but i have shingles. how long before i can resume chemotherapy?

Ask your doctor: Make sure your oncologist is aware you have shingles. He or she will probably want to wait until they are fully resolved before starting you on the lenalidomide. There is also a very effective shingles vaccine that is now available in the US and safe for cancer patients; I'm not sure if it's available in Ireland. In the US most oncologists would want to give you that vaccine after your recover.
