X-rays can't say all: Here's an informative site on this area. You'll notice there are muscles and nerves, etc. X-rays only show bone well, so problems w/ muscle and/or nerves will not be seen. Perhaps your problems are there. Also chronic pain can exist after the injury has healed. It's like a bad habit your body got into. So it may not be a mystery. Do a careful investigation including possibly behavorial Tx.
