Pacifiers: Are you sure she's not hungry? 12 hrs is a long time for a 3 month old to go between feeds…even at night. If you are sure she's not hungry, then you can try letting her "self-soothe". This basically entails not running to replace the pacifier when she wakes but letting her learn to get back to sleep without the pacifier. It is going to take discipline and patience on your part.

Quit swaddling: Swaddling is a good temporary action that helps baby transition between a tight uterus and freedom of movement.It should be loosened gradually and removed as soon as baby will sleep without it. Babies die every year by suffocating in bedding. A growing 3 mo should not go 12 hrs between feedings.

May be dependent: Pl see the attached link for deciphering between the pros and cons for using pacifier to fit your needs. There is really no clear guidelines to fit in every case. Generally speaking, pacifiers provide soothing effects to babies who become dependent on them over time.
