Could hypothyroidism cause swollen lymph nodes?

Possibly: A common cause of hypothyroidism is hashimoto's thyroiditis. Your thyroid has some element of inflammation, and you may have an enlarged thyroid. Because of this inflammation, nearby swollen lymph nodes are common. If an ultrasound of the thyroid is done, they can look at these lymph nodes to make sure there is nothing suspicious about them.

No, not likely: This may be a coincidence; hypothyroidism doe snot do anything to the lymph nodes. Find some other reason for it.
