Get it removed : While it is rare for lipomas to turn into liposarcoma, a large lipoma especially on the arms or legs should be removed completely as those locations have a higher risk. Larger lipomas have a higher risk. Sometimes an MRI before surgery can give clues as to the possibility of finding a sarcoma.
