Avoidance: There are plenty of other foods you can eat but you need to be sure that you are indeed allergic to peanuts & soy products (not just because of a moderately positive blood or skin test). Most peanut-allergic people can tolerate soy product however even though the skin test to soy may be positive. Consult an allergist re. any condition diagnosed only by a skin test or blood test.

Seek an allergist: Melissa, your question is not a simple one. Food allergy is different than just positive blood tests, which is different than someone having positive skin tests. This is why a board certified allergist is needed to sort out these issues with you. Sometimes an in-office food challenge is required - I would not just 'try and see' on your own. It is the job of the allergist to give you adequate info.
