A member asked:

What is the probability of haveing another baby with hypoplasia right chamber again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: The risk of any future birth with any form of heart defect is quoted as 4%, or 8% if one parent and 1 child have any heart defect. Transmission of identical defects is unlikely unless they are part of an inherited dominant syndrome (rare).A visit with a geneticist might clarify the inputs to risk from either side of the family & prior births.
