CPK made by heart &: skeletal muscle+brain cells. Each CPK has 2 components: MM, MB or BB. Skeletal muscle >95% MM, <5% MB; heart muscle >20% MB, measuring ratios can help distinguish cells leaking CPK at ↑ed rates into water outside cells (which lab measures). Elevated CPK unlikely related to cholesterol or agents; more likely related to skeletal muscle problems, e.g. autoimmune disease? Test enzyme ratios for clues.
